Improved BUILDER Series - News Summary
1. changing the springs in the overruns to gas springs (2 pieces).
The new invasions are equipped with two gas springs. They allow smooth and precise control of the movement of the invasion. Adjusting the appropriate spring lifting force to the size of the invasion makes it much easier to raise and lower them. Thanks to their high force-to-size ratio, the gas springs are more compact and lighter than steel springs of the same power.
2. option to put on 14'' wheels instead of standard 13'' wheels.
The new versions of the trailers have the option of mounting wheels with a larger diameter, namely 14''. These are 185R14C 104N tires on a 5.5Jx14 ET30 rim.
The 14'' wheels offer a larger diameter, which contributes to improved trailer stability, especially when driving at higher speeds or on uneven surfaces. Trailers equipped with these wheels will be less susceptible to vibration and roll, which can improve the overall trailer driving experience.
3. BUILDER 3 2615 S in a never-before-available single-axle version
In addition to the standard 2-axle version, the BUILDER 3 trailer in size 2615S is now also available in a single-axle version. This results in a lower tare weight of the trailer and thus a higher payload. The 1-axle trailers are more maneuverable and easier to maneuver, especially in confined spaces.
4. electrical harness routed under the floor
In the new designs, the electrical harness along the entire length of the loading area is routed under the floor. It has been further moved away from the moving parts, namely the wheels. This reduces the risk of it being chafed, cut or damaged by friction or vibration. This is particularly important when the trailer is frequently used in harsh conditions.
Changing the harness routing reduces its exposure to water, mud, stones and other debris that can be lifted by the wheels while driving. This prevents corrosion of wires and connectors, which is crucial to the long-term reliability of electrical systems.
5. bolt-on footing in adjustable overrun ramps
Due to the possibility of mounting wheels in two sizes, the height of the foot of the overrun ramp is now adjustable. As standard, it is adjusted for the wheels used on the trailer.
In construction settings, trailers often have to operate on uneven terrain. An adjustable ramp foot makes it possible to quickly adjust the height of the ramp to suit the terrain, which can be crucial for safe loading on sloping or uneven surfaces.
6. screw-on - easily removable posts for mounting the invasion
A change in the area of assembly of the overrun ramp to the trailer frame allowed to simplify the design, which translates into durability and reliability of the new solution. The bent sheet elements have been replaced by a closed profile.
The modification brings a number of benefits:
- greater strength of the closed profile and much greater mechanical resistance compared to bent sheet elements
- Better corrosion protection - closed profiles are hot-dip galvanized, which reduces the risk of corrosion.
- reduced number of elements
- better connection to the trailer frame, the profiles provide a more stable and robust connection between the ramp and the trailer frame.
- modern and aesthetically pleasing design
7. new universal spare wheel bracket for the entire Builder range
The bracket and spare wheel under the bucket support and do not occupy the loading area of the trailer. The new bracket is equipped with a hitch bolt, which allows quick and easy installation and removal of the spare wheel.
These improvements are in response to user needs and contribute to even greater satisfaction with our BUILDER series trailers.
